It is used in the treatment of productive cough, bronchitis, wheezing, asthma, chest congestion, food poisoning, abdominal pain

Useful in the treatment of fever, piles, anemia, skin diseases, chronic syphilis,epileptic disorders,chest pain,peptic ulcers,anaemia,fever with rigor,cough,inguinal lymphadenopathy,abcess,sinusitis,painful condition of the head,eczema,oliguria,vomiting,swelling,psychiatric disorders,ascites,hydrocil, fever due to inflammation of the scrotum,jaundice,burning micturition ,gonorrhoea,dysentery,migraine, eye disorders,unconscious due to sudden fall ,fainting due to drowning, incurable fever,facial palsy,scorpian bites, toxicity due to valalai snake,poisonous symptoms,tumour of the uterus with amenorrhea.

DIET RESTRICTION;

Pasu nei [ghee],tender immature drum stick, tender immature fruit of banana,citrus reticulate, solanum tribatam may be included in diet.

NOTE;

As the medicine is a powerful purgative,it is better to administrate in appropriate lower dosage, if it cause intense purgation a decoction of seeragam [Cuminum cyminum], puli[ Tamarindus indica] or elumichan saaru [lime juice],shall be administered.Rice with butter milk or vasambu cutta kari[ ash collected from burned Acorus calamus] may also be given .when grinding the medicine, has to apply coconut oil through out his body.
