constipation, cough, bronchitis,stomatitis, conjunctivitis, It is given in cough with honey. in constipation with hot water and in conjunctivitis, its decoction is used to wash the eyes periodically ,a decoction of this chooranam is used to wash and clean the wounds and ulcers,further this can be used for gagling purpose also ,it allays the severity of diabetes mellitus .

Used as a general tonic especillay for eyes with equal quantities of honey or ghee.

DOSAGE AND ADJUVANTS;

1-3 gms with water honey are ghee 2-3 times a day after food . can be also be used externally for washing.
